We had the opportunity to go to New Orleans for a few days because I had a convention for work but we got there early enough to have some vacation time. We stayed a few blocks from Bourbon Street at the New Orleans Marriott and the first night we got in from the airport about 12:30 am and were hungry for dinner. We had some great seafood that night at 1:00 in the morning and there were tons of people in the restaurants eating and live music in all the bars– it was unlike anything we had seen before.
Highlights of the trip:
-Beignets at Cafe Du Monde (awesome!)
-Walks around the french quarter (art galleries and the cathedral were the best)
- Drago’s crabmeat lunch dish
-Trolley ride (1.25/per person) to garden district and other parts of the city
